What we keep, and why.

We collect your email address if you sign up for the newsletter, and nothing else about you. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking cookies. Your collection and watchlist stay in your own browser and never reach us.

If you sign up for the newsletter: your email address, the date you signed up, and which form you used. We use them only to send you the monthly market report and, if you signed up for alerts, to tell you when alerts are available.

When you visit: our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run the site and keep it secure. We don’t use them to identify you.

In your browser only: your light or dark setting, your watchlist and your collection are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are there next time. They are not cookies, they are not sent to us, and you can delete them by clearing your browser data.

We send the newsletter because you have asked us to (your consent), and you can withdraw that at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email. We keep technical logs because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.

Resend stores the mailing list and sends our emails, and Vercel hosts the site. Both are based in the United States and act only on our instructions, under data processing terms with appropriate safeguards for transfers from the UK. We don’t sell or share your email with anyone else.

Until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record that your address has unsubscribed, so that we never email it again. You can ask us to delete that too.

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Email hello@banksyindex.com and we will reply within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If this notice changes, we will update the date at the top, and tell subscribers by email if the change is significant.
