Banksy Index is run by Tom Vining, in London. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. You can reach us at hello@banksyindex.com.

Banksy Index is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the artist known as Banksy, Pest Control Office, or any auction house or dealer. The name Banksy is used only to identify the artist whose published prints this site describes. All trade marks belong to their owners.

The values, ranges, changes and index on this site are estimates produced by a statistical model from public auction results, as described on the method page. They can be wrong. What a particular print actually sells for depends on things the model cannot see, including its condition, provenance, certificate, edition number, framing, where and how it is sold, and the market on the day.

Nothing on this site is an appraisal or a valuation for insurance, probate, tax, lending or any other formal purpose, an offer to buy or sell anything, or financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Art prices go down as well as up, and past results are not a reliable guide to future prices. Before you buy, sell or insure a work, get advice from a qualified, independent professional.

Auction results are compiled from public sources, including results published by auction houses and other published records of those results. Prices are shown in pounds, all in, including the buyer’s premium and fees, and sales in other currencies are converted. We work to keep the record complete and correct, but it may contain errors or gaps. If you spot one, please tell us and we will fix it.

We do not authenticate works and cannot say whether any particular print is genuine. Only Pest Control Office can authenticate work by Banksy. A value on this site assumes a genuine print with a Pest Control certificate.

Prints you add to the Collection are stored in your own browser, on your own device. They are never sent to us and we cannot see them, recover them or restore them. Clearing your browser data, or using another browser or device, will remove them.

If you sign up, we will send you a monthly email about the Banksy print market. You can unsubscribe at any time. How we handle your email address is set out in the privacy notice.

The design, text, charts, index and model on this site are ours. You are welcome to quote individual figures with a credit and a link to banksyindex.com. Please don’t copy the data in bulk, republish it, or collect it by automated means, without asking us first.

Links to auction houses and other sites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or their terms.

The site is provided as it is, free of charge. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, including any financial loss, that comes from relying on the information here, or from the site being unavailable or containing errors. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may update these terms, and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
